Loses Title Bid Windsor’s Jeannine “Heartless” Garside lost her bid for the IBFA Super Featherweight title on Sunday. Garside (7-2-1, 3 KO) lost a unanimous decision after ten rounds to Korean Ji-Hye Woo (10-1-0, 1 KO) in Seoul, South Korea. It was Woo’s fourth defense of her title, which she won in March 2007. Scores were 96-94, 97-93 and 97-94. Since
her only Michigan ring appearance last September at Meadowbrook,
Garside has suffered her only two professional losses, both for
International Female Boxing Association (IFBA) titles. Her next
fight is a Womens International Boxing Association (WIBA) Featherweight
title defense scheduled for December 17 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and
Herzegovina against Irma Balijagic (8-0). |
