Show is Cancelled Friday’s boxing show at Bert’s Warehouse Theatre in Detroit has been cancelled. What was to be the fourth monthly Pro-Am show since beginning in April, was doomed almost from the start - expecting an audience over a holiday weekend. It was once expected that Kronk female boxer Latonya King would make her pro debut on this month’s card but those plans were quashed several weeks ago and promoter Rubin Stovall suggested that King would likely make her debut out-of-state. The
shows at Bert’s have been plagued with problems, causing cancellation
of the pro portion on two of the three shows that have taken place.
Cancellation of this month’s show was confirmed by state LBC
(for the amateur portion) and DLEG officials. Promoter Stovall did
not respond to inquiries and Javan Hill is out of the country.
