Eastern Michigan Golden Gloves Champions
Twenty-three
boxers were crowned as champions last weekend at the conclusion
of the Eastern Michigan Golden Gloves championships.
The
first of three state districts to hold Golden Gloves tournaments
concluded March 22 at the Birch Run Expo Center, following preliminary
action March 6 and semi-finals on March 13. The state is divided
into three districts for Golden Gloves competition: Western Michigan,
Eastern Michigan and Detroit Metro. Gyms in Monroe County belong
to a district in Ohio and gyms in the Upper Peninsula compete with
Wisconsin boxers.
