Michigan Golden Gloves Prelims

Preliminary action took place Thursday as the first Golden Gloves
for 2008 kicked off in Birch Run.
Seventeen
boxers advanced, and fifteen dropped out of contention, as the Eastern
Michigan district championships were held March 6 at the Birch Run
Expo Center. The winners advance to the semi-finals at the same
location March 16 with the finals on March 22.
